Founded in 1945, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra (SKO) is one of the leading chamber orchestras in Europe.
Classical concert performance with AI elements
In addition to performances around the globe, the SKO has recorded a discography of several hundred recordings and collaborated with a long list of renowned soloists in the course of its 75-year history.
For some time now, the orchestra has been exploring how classical concert performance can be enriched by digitalisation.
TThe artistic director of the SKO, Markus Korselt, met today with experts from the #HLRS AI team led by Dennis Hoppe, Ludger Brümmer (director of the Hertz Labor ZKM) and Prof. Dr. Bernd Eberhardt (HdM Stuttgart) to discuss new applications of artificial intelligence in music.
The MSC is starting a new project:
- To develop new applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in music.
- We are looking forward to the first results, which will hopefully find their way onto the concert stage of the SKO. A very enriching conversation with scientists, musicians, composers and AI experts.
